We, Nanophotonics Laboratory (NaPs), hold one-day seminar every year to introduce our activity & discuss future directions by focusing on one particular topic. Here listed are the past topics we had so far,
2002: Molecular science and Nanophotonics
2003: Left-Handed Materials and Nanophotonics (invited speaker: Prof. John Pendry)
2004: Tip-enhancement and Nonlinearity (invited speaker: Prof. Anatory Zayats)
2005: 3-D Nanofabrication and Nanophotonics (invited speaker: Prof. Din Ping Tsai)
This year will be 5th anniversary of NaPs symposium, so we will extend NaPs symposium to be two-days symposium entitled by Plasmonics & Nanophotonics since most of our current research topics in NaPs are related to the concept of "Plasmonics" such as plasmonic band gap laser, metallic metamaterials, metallic nano-lens, and tip-enhanced near-field spectroscopy using a metallic nano-probe.
